The Dallas Cowboys did enough to beat the New York Giants 19-3. It was a low scoring game seemingly dominated by the Cowboys from the beginning.

This off season was full of drama for the Dallas Cowboys. From multiple suspensions, including Ezekiel Elliott, to the return of Jaylon Smith to the new faces found in the Dallas secondary.Despite the drama, it was finally time to get back to the football field. The Cowboys took on the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. The Giants have won the last three meetings, relying on a suffocating defense and ultra-productive Odell Beckham Jr. But it in this Week 1 matchup, it became a different story.

The Cowboys jumped out to a moderate lead early, leaning on the leg of kicker Dan Bailey, who scored 9 of Dallas’ 16 first-half points. While the Giants started the second half hot, they ultimately settled for a field goal before fizzing out late. The final score in this game ended at 19-3. There were several takeaways from this game, some positive and others not so much.
