4. Mike Gillislee is a touchdown machine

The New England Patriots have found a more-than-adequate replacement for LeGarrette Blount in Mike Gillislee, who had three touchdowns in his New England debut. Here’s the first:

This was a clear attempt by the Patriots — in my eyes — to sort of stick it to their division rival Buffalo on national television by featuring Gillislee in this way. The Patriots just saw how dynamic James White can be in the Super Bowl, and Gillislee came into the game to take all of the goal-line carries.

He was more than just a goal-line runner in this game, but it was clear that the Patriots had planned on utilizing him in that prominent role for a long time, and he excelled, scoring three times in his first game with New England.
