1. Tom Brady to Brandin Cooks connection

The NFL slate will kick off with a very exciting football game featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and the defending champion New England Patriots.

In the Tom Brady era, no Kansas City team has gone into Foxboro and gotten the best of New England. The Chiefs are at a disadvantage historically, and they are going up against the best quarterback in the league.

How are they going to pull this one off?

It’s going to take some work, but the Chiefs are expected to contend for an AFC title again this season, and this will be a great early season test.

Among our five items on the menu to look out for in this game, however, start on the home offense with quarterback Tom Brady and his new top wide receiver target Brandin Cooks.

Brady, as we all know, sadly just lost Julian Edelman for the 2017 season to a knee injury. That makes the acquisition of Cooks for a first round pick from the Saints that much more important.

Even though he was suspended four games to start last season, Brady didn’t attack downfield nearly as much as he usually does in 2016. We could see that change drastically with the inclusion of one of the best vertical threats in football now at his disposal.
