The Baltimore Ravens sign back Jeremy Zuttah to a 2-year deal worth up to $6 million (with playing time incentives) to help the offensive line.

The Ravens traded Jeremy Zuttah to the San Francisco 49ers to switch 6th round picks in 2017 back in May. The Ravens essentially got back Zuttah and 6th round selection Chuck Clark (Safety) from Virginia for D.J. Jones (Defensive Lineman) from Ole Miss.

The 49ers cut Zuttah last week and was getting interest from not just the Ravens, but also the Colts. The Colts needed a center due to center Ryan Kelly’s foot surgery as he will be out 6-8 weeks but the Ravens bring him back as either a starter at center, quality offensive line depth, or a potential position change to offensive guard.

The veteran pro bowl center could be a starting center or guard with the Ravens.

With the season-ending injuries to Alex Lewis, rookie Nico Siragusa, and the loss of John Urshel to retirement has weakened the interior offensive line tremendously. If the Ravens like Ryan Jensen at center, they potential can move Zuttah to the left guard spot as it is a significant need.

Zuttah has played guard in college and in the NFL with his former drafted team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But if they want Jensen to switch to left guard instead and keep Zuttah at his same position, they could as Jensen has also played guard as well.

LT Ronnie Stanley

LG/ or C Ryan Jensen

C/ or LG Jeremy Zuttah

RG Marshal Yanda

RT Austin Howard

An offensive line with Ronnie Stanley at LT, either Jeremy Zuttah or Ryan Jensen at LG and C interchangeably, Marshal Yanda at RG, and newly signed free-agent Austin Howard at RT could be an improved offensive line from last year if all of them stay relatively healthy.
