2018 NFL Mock Draft: Trade Winds Blow Early

WR. SMU. Courtland Sutton . 18. player. 54. Seems the Philadelphia Eagles are set at wide receiver, right? Alshon Jeffery is in place as is Torrey Smith. Well it’s not that simple. Smith hasn’t been the same player he was in Baltimore and Jeffery is on a one-year contract. This receiving corps is far from set in stone for 2018. Smart money says they could maneuver to add another weapon for Carson Wentz in this draft after beefing up the defense this year. <p>If Jeffery does leave, then sliding Courtland Sutton into his spot would be most logical. He’s another 6’3″ target with deceptive speed and down-the-field ability. He’s well-built, strong and not afraid to fight for the catch in those 50/50 situations. He can be moved around to create favorable matchups either outside or in the slot. There is a litany of options with a talent like him.</p>
