57. Every franchise quarterback can’t expect to reach his full potential without a blind size pass protector at left tackle. The Bears still aren’t sure if they have one in Charles Leno Jr. He’s played better than expected up to this point but still suffers from consistency issues. They aren’t sure if he’s a worthy long-term investment, making his contract year of 2017 must-see TV for the front office and coaches. <p>Either way they have to invest more at that position. In addition to Leno being a free agent, they also have depth concerns. So who better to come in and guard the backside of Mitch Trubisky than the man who did it for him in college. Bentley Spain did a rock solid job in pass protection for North Carolina in 2016. He’s a big athlete who moves well and shows good fundamentals.
