Things are going to come down to how much the Jets trust Christian Hackenberg to still be their future. If there is still hope for that happening, then they have to start making sure he’s not overburdened. That comes with a classic power running game. Matt Forte will likely be done after 2017, leaving the position in a cloudy state. After bringing in that draft haul, why not secure the one of the best running backs in the draft? <p>Especially somebody familiar with Hackenberg. Saquon Barkley was teammates with him at Penn State. The two have a connection already. That will given Hack an even greater sense of comfort. Barkley showed last season he’s more than able to carry an offense on his back. He can run for power or speed, is a good athlete, tough and does his job well as a receiver and blocker too.</p>. RB. Penn State. Saquon Barkley . 8. player. 30
