25. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

25. player. 48. How much long can the Tampa Bay Buccaneers expect Gerald McCoy to carry the load up front on defense? That’s the truth. It’s basically him and a series of solid role players, at least at this point. If they could get somebody who could flank him up front, somebody with serious upside then they’d be in business. Ideally getting another defensive tackle who can play two-way as a run defender and pass rusher would be ideal.
Derrick Nnadi showed that capability at Florida State last year. Already a solid run defender, his significant improvement as an interior pass rusher stood out the most. He’s got that nice combination of nature leverage, strong lower body and good quickness. He’d draw double teams on his own. Put him next to McCoy where that’s not possible? It can only mean good things for the Bucs.
. DT. Florida State. Derrick Nnadi
