2. San Francisco 49ers

Notre Dame. Mike McGlinchey . 2. player. 42. Pretty much anybody with half a brain can see the San Francisco 49ers and Kirk Cousins hooking up in 2018. The quarterback seems dead set on getting out of Washington with still no long-term deal signed. The 49ers were by far the most rumored team he was interested in. Smart money that comes to pass. If and when it does, GM John Lynch has to take steps to protect their new investment.
First up is protection. Joe Staley is into his 30s and doesn’t have much treat left on the tire. Adding the best left tackle prospect available would be a wise play for San Francisco. Mike McGlinchey would’ve been one of the top prospects in 2017. The fact he went back for another year at Notre Dame means he’ll be a polished gem by the time he declares next year. He’s big, strong, nimble for his size and can play multiple positions.
. OT
