#4:  Brian Kelly

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had so much star power. Of course there was the big three of Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks and John Lynch. Then there was key pass rusher Simeon Rice, Super Bowl MVP Dexter Jackson and ageless cornerback Ronde Barber. With so many big names it can be easy to overlook the role players who rose for a short time to become stars in their own right. There is no greater example than Brian Kelly, who for one season was absolutely everywhere.

In 2002 there was no avoiding Kelly. Every time quarterbacks seemed to throw the ball his way, he was intercepting it. In total he had eight picks that season. Not to mention a sack and a forced fumble. He’d have other productive years but this one was his highlight. It’s a crying shame he wasn’t voted to the Pro Bowl. The numbers alone say he deserved it. Even so, he ended up with the ring so it’s likely he didn’t lose too much sleep over it.
