#3:  Dominic Raiola

The man played 13 seasons in the NFL. That in and of itself is pretty impressive. Especially at such a physical position like center. To think Dominic Raiola managed to do it for the same franchise? Unheard of in this day and age. The loyalty he showed the Detroit Lions is truly special. There were so many times he would’ve been justified in leaving. None more so than the 2008 season when they completed the only 0-16 campaign in league history.

Yet Raiola persevered. He helped the rebuild along afterwards and was part of the two teams that made the playoffs in 2011 and 2014. There was always the reputation of him being somewhat of a dirty player but at the end of the day one doesn’t last that long without a considerable degree of skill. Maybe he would’ve been honored with a couple Pro Bowls had he played on better teams during his prime years. Nonetheless it doesn’t diminish what he accomplished.
