#4:  Max Unger

The most recent member of the list and the only one still active. Max Unger has established himself as one of the top centers in the league. He proved that much when he paved the way for Marshawn Lynch to his true “Beast Mode” form while helping the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl in 2013. A year he made his second-straight Pro Bowl. So it was a considerable surprise when the team elected to trade him as part of a blockbuster package for Jimmy Graham.

It’s still a move they probably regret. Graham hasn’t been terrible but Unger was an instant success upon arrival with the New Orleans Saints. With his steady blocking and leadership up front it’s little surprise the team finished 2nd and 1st in total offense over the past two years. If he can overcome his recent injury setback, there is enough of a window left for him to possibly climb a couple more spots on this list. Success of the team would certainly help.
