It’s something they haven’t done for well over a decade and the performance at the position shows. They haven’t fielded a Pro Bowler there since Mike Brown way back in 2005. The Bears have remained cheap at safety and thus have gotten minimal in return. <p>At last they take the gloves off and deliver a legitimate shot at fixing the problem. Derwin James missed most of 2016 with injury but the fact that he’s considered a top 10 picks for 2018 is a testament to how physically gifted he is.
