30. New England Patriots

Wake Forest. Duke Ejiofor . 30. player. 47. By now people have come to learn two key factors about New England Patriots draft picks. They prefer players who are versatile, able to do more than one thing well on the field. They also want ones who will “do their job” as Bill Belichick always likes to say. Players who operate within the system and execute well on each and every play. It might not be flashy, but it’s produced five rings so there’s no arguing it.
Duke Ejiofor fits that profile. He’s an unassuming player from a smaller school but his production screams somebody who can be an active presence on defense. He’ll get sacks, create pressure, and be able to move around in order to find the matchups. Most people will shrug when they hear his name called, only to learn it months later when he’s getting a sack in the AFC championship. That’s how the Pats roll.
. DE
