123. The Dallas Cowboys are a defense that lives and dies by it’s front four. That’s how the 4-3 system was constructed. To date they’ve not done the best job building that area of the team. Hopes are high that Taco Charlton can help get things revved up. Even so that’s likely not going to stop the team from trying to improve that area of the roster at every opportunity. Especially the interior if possible. <p>A great 4-3 defense is often built around a dynamic defensive tackles. The ’70s Steelers with Joe Green and the Buccaneers of the late ’90s and early 2000s with Warren Sapp. Having an interior pass rusher who can squeeze the pocket up the middle is so invaluable to that scheme.
