Even with an improved defenses it rests on his shoulders to get them to the Super Bowl if and when their opportunity arises. To do that he needs two simple things: weapons and protection. For one reason or another though the Chargers have been hit and miss in those areas for years. <p>It does finally seem like they have thing going in the right direction up front. Martinas Rankin could potentially solidify their offensive line into something respectable. He’s a big athlete with good tenacity and quickness. His coaches have busily moved him around at Mississippi State from tackle to center. That will make him incredibly valuable to the Chargers, who can plug him wherever needed most.</p>. OL.
