1. Re-Signing Eric Berry

One of the league’s great feel-good stories is more than just that. Eric Berry is the heart and soul of the Kansas City Chiefs, and it was looking like he would be moving on to another city after being franchise tagged in 2016.

The Chiefs wouldn’t tag Berry again in 2017 would they?

On February 28th, Berry inked a six-year, $78 million extension with the Chiefs, stunning me and many others who felt like the two sides were heading for a separation.

Berry is one of the premiere players in the NFL at the safety position. He’s a leader for the Chiefs on and off the field and represented the most important and most significant move John Dorsey made in his tenure with this team.

Dorsey is well-respected in the NFL, and for good reason. These five moves simply represent a small portion of the bigger picture and he will be highly sought after for general manager openings around the league.
