Taking a look at the tenure of John Dorsey with the Kansas City Chiefs, and the top five moves he made while he was calling the shots as GM…

John Dorsey is one of the best in the world at his job, and with a year remaining on his contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, both sides opted to simply part ways now, with the roster already assembled.

Simultaneously, it was announced that Andy Reid was being given an extension as the team’s head coach.

Call me crazy, but I think the Chiefs got this one backwards.

At any rate, this provides us with an opportunity to look at some of Dorsey’s top moves as an executive with the Chiefs. We won’t get into his entire history as an executive, one that includes being on team that drafted Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay when Brett Favre’s career was coming to a slow, torturous, grueling close.
