Entering his fourth NFL season, Cody Latimer has not developed into the type of premiere receiver the Broncos drafted him to be. As a second round draft pick, the expectations have been high for Latimer, but no one has been too upset with his lack of overall productivity offensively because the Broncos have had Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders to lead the way.

Latimer has blossomed into a key special teams player for the Broncos and is obviously a phenomenal athlete. He’s still young and there’s a ton of upside here, but one has to wonder if the clock is running out for him in Denver.

Wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert is still with the team, and it’s likely he had a big part in drafting Latimer back in 2014. That could be Latimer’s biggest advantage to staying in Denver at this point, but the team might want to get as much value (if any) for Latimer as they can get.

There were rumors swirling that Latimer was on the trade block around the draft. Perhaps as teams get a better look at their players on the field, someone will take a shot on the former second rounder.
