Notre Dame. Mike McGlinchey . 5. player. 51. The saying goes that a quarterback is only as good as the pieces around him. Jared Goff didn’t have good pieces around him in 2016. The Rams took steps in the right direction by adding Andrew Whitworth at left tackle and Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp at wide receiver. It at least gives the team something to work with offensively. One thing that can’t be ignored though is that Whitworth turns 36 in December. <p>So this team needs to start thinking about a young replacement almost immediately. Mike McGlinchey would be exactly the solution they could want. He’s an experienced and polished blocker from a big school at Notre Dame. He’s got the size and athletic feet required to handle pro pass rushers as well. A plug-and-play starter who can man the blind side for a decade. Or any other position required.</p>. OT
