17. Carolina Panthers

OT. Clemson. Mitch Hyatt . 17. player. 87. The left side of the Carolina Panthers offensive line is in a shaky spot. They signed Matt Kalil in free agency in hopes he can regains his old form as a top left tackle. Given his health history that seems unlikely. Meanwhile their left guard position is also a bit average as well with Andrew Norwell, Amini Silatolu and David Yankey. If the Panthers want to get the most out of Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey moving forward, it starts with shoring up that left side.
Mitch Hyatt can be the solution to either of those positions. He was the athletic pass protector on that Clemson national championship team. The one who guarded the blind side for Deshaun Watson. He’s got the size, feet and length to man that edge but some believe he might be better suited inside. He certainly doesn’t lack the necessary power. In the end it won’t matter. Wherever Carolina plugs him in, he can excel.
