16. Cleveland Browns (via HOU)

Virginia Tech. Adonis Alexander . 16. player. 53. Teams today are very interested in the evolution of the long cornerbacks, thanks in no small part to Richard Sherman. Big corners who still have the speed and athleticism to hang with any receiver they line up against. It can make for a pretty devastating combination when the ratios are right. As Gregg Williams has shown at multiple stops over his career as a coordinator that he enjoys bigger corners and what they bring to the table.
Virginia Tech has become a haven for physical cover men and Adonis Alexander is one of their latest projects. The young man is athletic in coverage and not afraid to get physical as a tackler as well. He’s also every pit of 6’3″. The matchup advantages he could bring to the Browns secondary are numerous provided his technique can be smoothed over. Yet another quality addition for a young, rising defense.
. CB
