11. Chicago Bears

Keep something in mind here. Current starting Bears left tackle Charles Leno is a free agent in 2018. Not only that but his quality of players hasn’t been bad but it’s hardly what one would call upper tier. He’s a serviceable player who isn’t bad but isn’t replaceable either. Chicago has a future at quarterback now with the arrival of Mitch Trubisky. Every great quarterback needs his blind side taken care of. That requires a top offensive tackle.
Martinas Rankin really began to flash that sort of potential in 2016 for Mississippi State. He’s got the size, strength and athleticism to handle that position. Better still word is the team plans to move him to center for 2017. That will only enhance his versatility and understanding of blocking techniques, meaning the Bears would be able to move him around in an emergency. Just the sort of guy a team wants in front of their QB.
. OT. Mississippi State. Martinas Rankin . 11. player. 57
