Carolina Panthers:  Julius Peppers

He spent a large chunk of his career playing for the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. However, the return this offseason pretty much signals that Julius Peppers was always a Carolina Panthers guy. They did draft and helped mold him into one of the best pass rushers of this generation. In fact one might say he was the biggest reason Carolina football got on the map when he led the Panthers defense during their Super Bowl run in 2003.

He has 83 sacks just in his career with this team alone and 143.5 overall. A nine-time Pro Bowler who continues to defy Father Time at age 37. A physical freak of nature who could play defensive end or outside linebacker. It’s hard to find players like that, and that’s why he belongs in the Hall of Fame. Special talents who defined an era. That’s what it was established for. It would be really cool of Peppers ended up being the first Panther to reach the Promised Land.
