Buffalo Bills:  Ruben Brown

With the arrival of Andre Reed into the Hall of Fame, the well has begun to run dry on possible candidates for the Buffalo Bills. Keep in mind this is a team that hasn’t made the playoffs since 1999. That speaks to their overall lack of star power over the past 18 years. It doesn’t look like that’s going to change anytime soon. However, there is one name who might gain some steam within the next few years. That being former offensive guard Ruben Brown.

He hard the hard luck of arriving just after the Bills finished reaching Super Bowls in the early 1990s. That didn’t stop Brown from developing into one of the most dominant guards of that era. Buffalo continued to have considerable offensive success even into the early 2000s. That was because Brown was plugged in at left guard making big blocks. A nine-time Pro Bowler, he left for Chicago in 2004 and helped them reach the Super Bowl two years later.
