Tampa Bay Buccaneers:  John Lynch

Thus far the gold jacket has eluded him but it’s only a matter of time before John Lynch gets into the Hall. The greatest defenses in history always have at least three representatives. Thus far the 2002 Buccaneers have put Derrick Brooks and Warren Sapp in. Lynch is the last remaining leader and superstar of that epic unit. He just faces some stiff competition to get in. No doubt though that at some point in the near future he’ll hear his name called. The guy was too good.

One doesn’t play for 15 years and go to nine Pro Bowls without being pretty decent at one’s job. Lynch was the enforcer of that defense, delivering some of the most eye-popping hits in modern NFL history. He even knocked out his own brother-in-law one time. He also intercepted 26 passes, made over 1,000 tackles, had 13 sacks and forced 16 fumbles. To think he played at that level until he was 36-years old pretty much hammers home that he belongs.
