Seattle Seahawks:  Earl Thomas

If Marshawn Lynch is able to have another Pro Bowl season with the Raiders, it might change this selection. As it stands though “Beastmode” is sitting right on the edge of being Hall of Fame worthy. The same can be said for star safety Earl Thomas but at age 28 he still has a long career ahead of him. People also saw how ineffective the Seattle Seahawks defense was without him. In the 11 games prior to his injury, the unit never allowed 30 or more points. In the seven games after he went down, they did so three times.

The security blanket Thomas provides on the back end can’t be understated. He’s one of those guys who cleans up everything his teammates leave behind. In seven seasons he already has 23 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles, two defensive touchdowns and over 500 tackles. If that trend holds true for another 4-5 years then there’s no question Thomas will be the next Seahawks player to reach the Hall of Fame. Presuming he retired before Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson.
