Oakland Raiders:  Charles Woodson

People may try to argue that the Green Bay Packers will ultimately be who represents Charles Woodson when he goes into the Hall. He did win Defensive Player of the Year and his Super Bowl ring with that franchise. However, his return to the Oakland Raiders in 2013 for another three seasons pretty much signaled what color blood ran through his veins. It’s silver and black the whole way. He played more seasons there and was drafted by them after all.

As for his qualifications? Not even a question. Woodson could very well be the greatest defensive back of his era, and that’s a pretty stacked list he’s going against. Yet the stats speak for themselves:  65 interceptions, 33 forced fumbles, 13 defensive touchdowns, over 1,200 tackles and nine Pro Bowl trips. Few players at his position can boast similar accomplishments. He’ll be in on the first ballot when his eligibility goes active.
