Fantasy Football: 10 rookies to draft this season
Zay Jones, WR
The Bills needed a receiver, so they decided to take the FBS’ all time leading receiver, Zay Jones, out of Eastern Carolina in the second round of the NFL Draft. Jones figures to see immediate playing time amongst a weak corp of receivers, and could see a hefty amount of targets.
Nobody knows what the Bills’ new offense will look like under new head coach Sean McDermott and offensive coordinator Rick Dennison. Jones is a playmaker, and will see a bulk of targets, especially if oft injured receiver Sammy Watkins misses time or is limited, like he has been at some point in each season he’s been in the league.
Jones is a speedy target who has shown he can catch a lot of passes if the ball’s thrown his way. If the Bills’ offense shifts to focus on him in the passing game he has an opportunity to take advantage of Tyrod Taylor’s rocket arm and be a solid WR2 to Flex player in most leagues if he can see the field early and develop.
