David Njoku, TE

The Browns aren’t exactly a fantasy hotbed, their offensive personnel eligible for fantasy drafts has been a wasteland since Josh Gordon disappeared. However, rookie tight end David Njoku may be a valuable asset to steal in the later rounds. Njoku is a freak athlete at tight end with the ability to get up in the red zone and come down with balls.

His upside may be limited to relying on red zone touchdowns, but those six points will be worth it, especially if Hue Jackson uses him as a receiving weapon like he did Tyler Eifert. But the difference between Eifert and Njoku is that Njoku is way more athletic, and looks like he has much more upside as a receiver coming in the league.

Njoku has been receiving rave reviews out of Browns OTAs and will see the most targets of their tight ends as veteran Gary Barnidge is now gone. Njoku has the potential to be a TE1 or potentially a valuable trade chip if he breaks out midway through the year. Don’t be surprised if he becomes an elite weapon that they use close to the end zone, and he vultures some touchdowns.
