Tennessee Titans – 2003

In case people haven’t noticed already, several teams really hit a wall in the 2003 draft. A big reason for this was its decided lack of depth and just overall shallow talent pool. The Tennessee Titans were another victim of that reality. It certainly didn’t help matters either that they only had six picks and most of them were late in each round. That makes it doubly hard to find players of skill and it showed in a big way. None of their moves paid off.

First rounder Andre Woolfolk had three interceptions in his career and all came against the same quarterback in David Carr. Second round choice Tyrone Calico ended up catching just 42 passes at wide receiver. The lone saving grace of that entire class was third round pick Chris Brown who ran for 1,000 yards in 2004. It looked for a time like he might become a star, but injuries piled up on him and he was forced to retire at 29-years old. Tough break.
