Baltimore Ravens – 2004

It seems inconceivable to think that Ozzie Newsome could ever have a terrible draft. After all he might be the first man in history to reach the Hall of Fame both as a player and as an executive. That’s how successful he’s been with the Baltimore Ravens. Yet as the saying always goes, nobody is perfect. Even Newsome has produced at least one clunker in his otherwise stellar record, and that came during the 2004 draft. Surprising given the previous five he’d done produced at least one Pro Bowler.

Seems Baltimore just didn’t have the juice that year. Granted matters weren’t helped by not having a 1st round pick but it was still an overall underwhelming class. Top pick Dwan Edwards never really got off the ground, starting just 23 games in five seasons for the franchise. All the while producing just two sacks. Third rounder Devard Darling was also a disappointment, while two other picks never even played a snap for the team.
