The Worst NFL Drafts From All 32 Teams Since the Year 2000

Indianapolis Colts – 2007
It seems hard to believe that a Hall of Fame GM like Bill Polian could have a really bad draft. Then again, he’s human and things can happen. One might argue the guy took his foot off the gas in 2007. Up to that point he’d been working so hard to bring the Indianapolis Colts a championship and had finally done it the year before. Often in such cases a man just loses his drive after something like that. It could be argued that happened to Polian.
Wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, the first pick, looked like he might become something but began suffering some nasty injuries. Second rounder Tony Ugoh proved an ineffective left tackle. So much in fact that the New York Giants tried him at tight end after he left Indy. The best player from that class was probably linebacker Clint Session and that’s not saying much given he was gone from the team after just four seasons of average play.
