player. 123. One player the Dallas Cowboys were probably sorry to see leave was J.J. Wilcox. Though not a superstar, he gave their defense a much-needed physical edge with his ability to tackle and hit. His leaving with Barry Church really left a dent at the safety position. Hopes are high that rookie Xavier Woods can fill that role alongside Byron Jones in the starting lineup, but being a 5th round pick makes that far from a guarantee.

Jordan Whitehead on the other hand plays much the same way Wilcox did. He goes hard and fast, throwing his body around with reckless abandon but at the same time showcasing some good instincts to find the football as well. Many of the good things he does for a defense won’t show up on the stat sheet. A guy who doesn’t mind doing the dirty work and letting teammates take the credit.
. S. Pitt. Jordan Whitehead . 28
