24. player. 31. One of the more curious decisions by the New York Giants this past offseason was the unwillingness to invest more heavily at the linebacker position. It was a persistent problem on an otherwise solid defense that ended up coming back to haunt them in the playoffs. Perhaps they’re confident in some of their young guys continuing to develop but odds are it just got overlooked as can sometimes happen. <p>Malik Jefferson would be quick get them going in the right direction again. The Texas linebacker was a singular shining star on an otherwise average defense. He’s got size and range with the ability to blitz as an extra pass rusher. Something Steve Spagnuolo loves to have in his back pocket given his love for bringing more rushers. Jefferson is one of those guys who is just always around the ball.</p>. LB. Texas.
