56. Everything that the Cincinnati Bengals do defensively runs through their front four. When it’s running hot, everybody else plays better. It’s just a simple fact of the 4-3 system. Last year didn’t go too well for them. Why? Outside of Geno Atkins it was a parade of average. Carlos Dunlap had eight sacks but that’s not overly impressive and everyone was far worse. This team still doesn’t have that potential elite rusher to pair with Atkins.

Bradley Chubb may be the guy they’ve waited for. He was outstanding for N.C. State in 2016 with 10.5 sacks and 22 tackles for loss. The guy lived in opposing backfields. He’s got the size for defensive end at 6’4″, 275 lbs but maintains the needed quickness and speed to threaten tackles off the edge. Maybe 3rd rounder Jordan Willis can fill that role but it’s unwise to bank on that. Chubb looks every bit the type they want.
. DE. N.C. State. Bradley Chubb . 10. player
