#1:  Denver Broncos:  Trevor Siemian vs. Paxton Lynch

The most influential QB battle of 2017 absolutely is taking place with the Denver Broncos. This team has won a Super Bowl in the past two years. Their fate towards winning another before the window closes is tied directly to how much they’re able to elevate that position. Trevor Siemian is the current starter after a fairly solid first year at the job in 2016. That said, word is persistent that many in the organization are hoping former 1st round pick Paxton Lynch begins to showcase his talent and progression this year.

Understandable enough. Lynch has an immense ceiling given his size, mobility and arm strength. He’s the type of player a team could be built around. The lingering problem has been progression into a pro-style offense. Something he was not ready for. That could open the door for Siemian to keep him on the bench another year. Much of all this depends on the preferences of the new coaching staff under Vance Joseph. That makes the Broncos training camp vital.
