#2:  Houston Texans:  Deshaun Watson vs. Tom Savage

This might be the most intriguing of the battles on this list. For no other reason than it’s impossible to predict what Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien. Tom Savage is the veteran of that offense now. He seems to have the confidence of his coaches and looked decent during his brief opportunity last year. Common sense usually dictates they give him one last shot to prove it rather than just go right with the rookie Deshaun Watson without pause.

Then again it’s impossible to overlook the fact that Houston gave up their future 1st round pick to move up high enough to grab Watson. Clearly they think highly of him. He’s by far the most experienced quarterback coming out of college this season, fresh off his heroic victor over Alabama. Why bother trying to derail his momentum? Just put him right into the starting job. Odds are training camp will go a long way towards swaying O’Brien either direction.
