#3:  Marvin Lewis (Cincinnati Bengals)

Over the past half decade the entire schtick of Marvin Lewis was he’d built a team capable of making multiple playoff runs. The problem is that team hasn’t been able to win a single playoff game since 2011. Nor did any of the other two since he took over the franchise way back in 2003. At what point must an ownership say that something, mysterious though it may be just is never going to happen for him. Lewis in many ways is the poor man’s version of Marty Schottenheimer.

A great coach in the regular season who always has his team prepared and playing hard. Then for one reason or another his teams continue to come out flat when the games become do-or-die. Now he doesn’t even have that going for him after a disappointing 6-9-1 season. If he fails to get them back on track one has to think his credibility will have finally eroded to a point where the Cincinnati Bengals can’t justify keeping him in charge any longer.
