#5:  Jay Gruden (Washington Redskins)

At this point it’s become impossible to predict what the Washington Redskins will do from one season to the next. They just got done firing a pretty good GM in Scot McCloughan. Then again this is something that has become commonplace since Daniel Snyder took over that franchise. Things are never settled at either GM or head coach for too long. So how safe is Jay Gruden really? Sure he’s a playoff appearance the past three years but that ended in an ugly loss to Green Bay.

Truth be told Gruden has hovered dangerously close to mediocrity the past two years, finishing 9-7 both times. He just had the good fortune of the division being really bad in 2015. His biggest success has been the elevation of quarterback Kirk Cousins into a Pro Bowler. Outside of that it’s been a string of hits and misses. Lots of inconsistency. If his team slips at all this year there should be every reason to think a change is coming.
