NFL Power Rankings: Quarterbacks Post-NFL Draft
The only reason the Browns are not at the bottom of this list is that of their offensive line. Joe Thomas and Joel Bitonio remain with the team while J.C. Tretter and Kevin Zeitler were brought in to bolster the line. David Njoku and Kenny Britt are two excellent targets to work with, and Isaiah Crowell will suffice in the backfield. Nobody knows who’ll get the nod week one but this situation is the best of the worst so far.
John Lynch and company believe that Hoyer will be able to get the job done for a year or so. He signed a short-term contract and will start week 1 barring some miraculous turn of events for Matt Barkley. Pierre Garçon is a welcome face in town, and Vance McDonald is a good safety net over the middle. Carlos Hyde is dangerous inside and outside the backfield and will be of tremendous service to Hoyer. However, coming off a season-ending injury and without much of an offensive line, Hoyer isn’t anything to write home about.
