Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams

If this trade looks lopsided, it’s because it is.

This is a six-for-one deal made by the Rams and Titans, and one that paid huge dividends for Tennessee as they wound up with a top five pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. In hindsight, this is an insane trade and you would think the Rams would have shied away from doing something like this as they swindled the Washington Redskins back in 2012 in a similarly wild trade.

The jury is obviously still out on Goff, but the early returns are not positive. Goff was not good as a rookie and struggled to find his way onto the field to begin with. The Titans made out like bandits in this trade just one year after taking Marcus Mariota with the 2nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Now, the Titans’ roster has been completely revamped, and they look like a legitimate contender out of the AFC South. The Rams on the other hand?

Not so much.
