What is the price of a franchise quarterback? How much are teams willing to pay? In today’s NFL, it seems the cost of a good quarterback has significantly risen due to supply and demand, but are teams making the right decisions?

It’s always interesting to see what teams are willing to do to find their quarterback of the future, considering guys like Aaron Rodgers once fell to the 24th overall pick in the draft and Derek Carr just three years ago was available into day two.

Are teams learning from the mistakes of others, or are they simply falling into traps they are creating for themselves?

Not every quarterback drafted is going to turn into Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, or Tom Brady, but NFL teams are constantly looking for that player that can create a new era for their team.

What price are NFL teams paying for that new legacy?

Well, every quarterback that has been drafted in the first round the last two years (and there are six players) was drafted at a spot where the team drafting them had to trade up to get them.
