SECOND ROUND

49. **Green Bay traded the 29th overall pick to Cleveland for the 33rd overall pick (2nd round) and 108th overall pick (4th round) of this year’s draft. **
Versatile and athletic are two words that describe Kevin King. He’s 6’3″ and 200 pounds who can play both cornerback and safety. He had 44 tackles and 2 interceptions for the Huskies in 2016. The Packers had the 31st pass defense in the NFL so Kevin King should help improve that.
. Kevin King, CB. Washington. Green Bay Packers. 33. player

player. 52. **Seattle traded 34th overall pick to Jacksonville for the 35th overall pick and 6th round pick (187th overall pick)**
The Jaguars make the right move by moving up and getting a starting left tackle. Robinson had 44 consecutive starts at left tackle but he’s got the ability to play at any spot. He needs to improve his footwork but he has the talent in the run game. With Leonard Fournette in the first round, helping him is the best thing they can do for him. This could be a home run pick for the Jaguars.
. Cam Robinson, OT. Alabama. Jacksonville Jaguars. 34

Michigan State . Seattle Seahawks. 35. player. 36. **Seattle traded 34th overall pick to Jacksonville for the 35th overall pick and 6th round pick (187th overall pick)**
There are some serious concerns with McDowell and his work ethic. However, he’s a first round talent and is a perfect fit for the Seattle Seahawks. He’s got some serious upside as an interior pass rusher and needs to improve his technique in the run game. This is a boom or bust pick but he’s going to the right scheme and the right team to have more boom than bust.
. Malik McDowell, DT

Washington . Arizona Cardinals. 36. player. 32. **Chicago sends 36th overall pick (2nd round) and 221st overall (7th round) to Arizona**
**Arizona sends 45h overall pick (2nd round), 119th overall (4th round), 197th overall (6th round) and 2018 4th round pick to Chicago**
This is somewhat of a confusing move. I absolutely love Budda Baker but to give up that many picks and not draft a quarterback, is head scratching. Baker is a great player in the box. He had 71 tackles and 10 tackles for loss this past season. He can cover slot receivers and flashes range from sideline to sideline. The Cardinals have a deep secondary but Baker can come in and play for the Cardinals.
. Budda Baker, S

Buffalo Bills. 37. player. 16. **Buffalo receives 37th overall pick and 149th overall pick (5th round)**
**Los Angeles Rams receives 44th overall pick and 91st overall pick (3rd round)**
They say when you like a guy to go up and get that guy. Zay Jones is a possession receiver who can compliment Sammy Watkins, perfectly. I would have guessed that the pick would have been Juju Smith-Schuster or a quarterback but this is an ideal landing spot for Jones. Not a bad start for the Bills, as they address two of their biggest needs.
. Zay Jones, WR. East Carolina

After losing D.J. Fluker, the Chargers had a serious need at the guard position. Now they get a player who can play inside because he lacks length at the tackle position. Lamp can down block and has the ability to handle himself at the second level. He can run block or pass block but without question, he’s the best guard in the draft.. Forrest Lamp, OG. Western Kentucky . Los Angeles Chargers. 38. player. 13

New York Jets. 39. player. 30. History doesn’t repeat itself at the 39th overall pick. The Jets don’t take a quarterback but they certainly tip their hand of trading away Calvin Pryor. What they get in return? Probably a mid-round pick but right now they get Marcus Maye. He’s a hard hitting safety who is a dominant downhill tackler. By drafting Adams and now Maye, the Jets could have one of the best safety tandems in the NFL.. Marcus Maye, S. Florida

87. Certainly, this is a head scratcher. I understand that the Panthers lost Tedd Ginn Jr., but they drafted Christian McCaffrey in the first round. However, it’s clear that the Panthers are trying to develop mismatches on offense. Samuel is a matchup nightmare in the slot and is a shifty player who can compliment Kelvin Benjamin.. Curtis Samuel, WR. Ohio State . Carolina Panthers. 40. player

Dalvin Cook, RB. Florida State . Minnesota Vikings. 41. player. 60. **Vikings receive 41st overall pick**
**Bengals receive 48th overall pick & 128th overall pick (4th round)**
After moving on from Adrian Peterson, the Minnesota Vikings were considered a landing spot for a running back. In free agency, they add Latavius Murray but he lacks consistency and isn’t viewed as an every down back. Dalvin Cook has some character issues and injury concerns. He’s balanced runner who runs well in the open field. He’s a natural runner with his one-cutting ability and can catch passes out of the backfield. He can provide an immediate impact for the Vikings.

42. player. 15. After grabbing Marshon Lattimore in the first round, the Saints continue the trend of helping their secondary. The Saints averaged close to 29 points per game last year but they couldn’t stop anyone. Marcus Williams was the highest rated safety on my board. He’s got great instincts and this translates to great playmaking ability. This pick should help lockdown the Saints secondary for years to come.. Marcus Williams, S. Utah . New Orleans Saints

Philadelphia Eagles. 43. player. 54. One team that fell in love with Sidney Jones was the Philadelphia Eagles. Jones has a first round grade and only fell into the second round because of a torn achilles injury at his pro day. This could be a home run pick for the Eagles if Jones can bounce back from the injury. Throughout his career he had nine interceptions and 27 pass deflections. He’s great cover corner and should be a great player for the Eagles when he gets to full strength.. Sidney Jones, CB. Washington

51. **Buffalo receives 37th overall pick and 149th overall pick (5th round)**
**Los Angeles Rams receives 44th overall pick and 91st overall pick (3rd round)**
Finding weapons for Jared Goff is clearly the indication with this pick. Everett is a receiving tight end and needs to improve what he does as a blocker. He can hold his own in certain situations but is far from what you get from an every down player. You can line him up in the slot or on the line but he’s a receiving tight end for Goff and the Rams.
. Gerald Everett, TE. South Alabama . Los Angeles Rams. 44. player

57. **Chicago sends 36th overall pick (2nd round) and 221st overall (7th round) to Arizona**
**Arizona sends 45h overall pick (2nd round), 119th overall (4th round), 197th overall (6th round) and 2018 4th round pick to Chicago**
Over the last two season, he’s recorded 127 receptions, 1,670 yards and 26 touchdowns. He’s a strong player and to back that up, he had 24 bench reps at the combine (most of any TE in the draft). Long, athletic player who is very intriguing. Finding a consistent safety valve for the young quarterback in Trubisky, is the smart thing to do for the Bears.
. Adam Shaheen, TE. Ashland. Chicago Bears. 45. player

Florida . Indianapolis Colts. 46. player. 46. I absolutely love what the Colts are doing in this draft. They get my 30th ranked player in Quincy Wilson and got an absolute steal with Malik Hooker in the first round. Wilson is a press corner who is a playmaker. He isn’t afraid to come downhill and tackle but he needs to improve it. Overall, this is a need for a secondary that was thin with only Vontae Davis.. Quincy Wilson, CB

26. Whoa, how can you not love this pick? The Ravens needed help off the edge and Bowser is a long, athletic player off the edge. He had a 37.5 inch vertical at the Combine (best among LB’s) and had 21.5 career sacks. He dips his shoulder well and displays great hip flexibility. He’s been a rising star up draft boards and the Ravens will re-establish their edge with Bowser.. Tyus Bowser, LB. Houston. Baltimore Ravens. 47. player

56. **Vikings receive 41st overall pick**
**Bengals receive 48th overall pick & 128th overall pick (4th round)**
Inconsistencies with Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill has led to the Bengals looking for another running back. Joe Mixon has some serious off the field concerns but on the field, he’s an excellent player. He’s got the ability to catch passes out of the field and can break off long runs at ease. He needs to keep his head on right but he’s the most intriguing prospect in the draft.
. Joe Mixon, RB. Oklahoma. Cincinnati Bengals. 48. player

48. Really enjoyed breaking down the film of Justin Evans. He had four interceptions in 2016 and can absolutely lay the hammer across the middle of the field. Evans has the tendency to cheat on the field and that will cost him on play action passes or pay off, if the ball is actually ran. Physical player who has the leadership traits you look for to help re-shape your defense.. Justin Evans, S. Texas A&M. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 50. player

Florida State . Denver Broncos. 51. player. 45. Believe it or not, Walker was the 2016 ACC Defensive Player of the Year. He had 16 sacks last year and is an interior pass rushing machine. Finding help for Derek Wolfe was ideal for the Broncos in the second round and they make the right pick with Walker.. DeMarcus Walker, DE

player. 53. How can you not like this pick for the Browns? They don’t have to move up to get their quarterback and they were able to snag three talented first round picks. Kizer has the big bodied frame that coaches love and he’s got elite arm strength. Poise, game management and decision making will have to improve for him. No way will Kizer start on the first day but he’s got the highest ceiling of any quarterback in this class.. DeShone Kizer, QB. Notre Dame . Cleveland Browns. 52

Detroit Lions. 53. player. 50. The Lions pair Tabor — an aggressive cornerback with excellent ball skills — with his former college teammate Jarrad Davis. Those are always fun picks but the pairing of Tabor and Darius Slay should have Lions fans excited.. Teez Tabor, CB. Florida

On the hoof, McMillan looks like a phenomenal player to develop. He has all the size and athleticism required to be a good NFL linebacker, but would like to see him be more aggressive more often.. Raekwon McMillan, LB. Ohio State. Miami Dolphins. 54. player. 59

The Giants lost Johnathan Hankins in free agency, so they go to the Alabama talent pool to replace him. Tomlinson will slide in nicely next to Damon Harrison and be a gap clogger who can occasionally make plays behind the line as well.. Dalvin Tomlinson, DL. Alabama. New York Giants. 55. player. 31

Obi Melifonwu, S. UConn. Oakland Raiders. 56. player. 28. Melifonwu is an extremely athletic safety that has excellent burst to the line of scrimmage. He’s 6-4 and can fly around the field, and pairing him with Gareon Conley is an intriguing start to the draft for the Raiders.

player. 10. The Houston Texans follow up their pick of DeShaun Watson in the first round with Zach Cunningham, an extremely productive playmaker at linebacker in the second. He’s lean for a 6-4 linebacker, but he will be free to make plays off the ball in Houston’s defense. Very interesting pick.. Zach Cunningham, LB. Vanderbilt. Houston Texans. 57

Ethan Pocic, OL. LSU. Seattle Seahawks. 58. player. 36. The Seattle Seahawks went and took Malik McDowell earlier in the second round, and wisely took a lineman here. Ethan Pocic can play a variety of spots up front and excelled at center this past season at LSU. Tom Cable will find a way to get the best out of him whatever position he winds up playing…

59. player. 124. The Chiefs drafted one of the most imposing physical freaks on the defensive line in this year’s draft in Kpassagnon, and added even more talent to an already tough, physical, fast defense. This is a very interesting pick for Kansas City, who took a developmental QB in Patrick Mahomes in the 1st round.. Tanoh Kpassagnon, DL. Villanova. Kansas City Chiefs

60. player. 123. Chidobe Awuzie is a phenomenal value here in the second round for the Cowboys. Dallas made a bold move to pass on defensive backs in the first round, but they get someone that could have easily gone in the top 32 picks here. Awuzie has great size and man cover skills.. Chidobe Awuzie, CB. Colorado. Dallas Cowboys

Josh Jones, S. North Carolina State. Green Bay Packers. 61. player. 49. The Green Bay Packers kicked off the second day of the draft by taking Kevin King out of Washington, and continue to add to their secondary here with Josh Jones, a physically imposing safety out of North Carolina State. Jones was a workout warrior at this year’s Scouting Combine…

player. 55. As if the Steelers needed any more talent at the wide receiver position, they get Mr. Hands himself, JuJu Smith-Schuster, a polished route runner coming out of USC who can help take pressure off of Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant. Love this pick for Pittsburgh’s wildly talented offense.. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR. USC. Pittsburgh Steelers. 62

Temple. Buffalo Bills. 63. player. 16. The Buffalo Bills traded two fifth round picks (149, 157) to move up and make this selection along with their third round pick. Dion Dawkins is a former defensive lineman who was dominant as a left tackle at Temple this past season and could step in and start at right tackle for the Bills day one.. Dion Dawkins, OT

player. 87. If there was one player that made sense for a specific team in this year’s draft, it was Moton to the Panthers. He was a dominant right tackle at Western Michigan and fills a huge need for a team whose biggest weakness was at that position. After adding two playmakers, the Panthers solidify their offensive line here with a very good player and capable first-year starter.. Taylor Moton, OT. Western Michigan. Carolina Panthers. 64
