Linebacker. Vanderbilt. Zach Cunningham. 27. player. 124. There’s been some speculation that the Kansas City Chiefs could be considering a quarterback in the first round. I don’t think that’s going to happen with their need at the linebacker position. Zach Cunningham would be an idea lift for the Chiefs and what they run defensively.
If you’re looking for an aggressive tackler who can scrape over the top and fill well, look no further. Cunningham is an aggressive player who has the athletic traits you want out of a linebacker. He’s an ideal fit for a 3-4 inside linebacker position or a 4-3 outside linebacker position.

He’ll need to work on form tackling and shedding blocks to improve at the next level but he’s still a starting linebacker at the next level. With that being said, he’s a fit for the Chiefs as they prepare for getting help in the middle of their defense.
