Charles Harris. 18. player. 35. Somewhere in this first round, Charles Harris will get drafted. There’s rumors that he goes as high as 14th overall to the Philadelphia Eagles and there’s talks of him going near the end of the first round. For the Tennessee Titans, there’s a need for another pass rusher

The breakout year for Harris was in 2015 and that’s when he finished with 18.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks. This past season, he took somewhat of a step back with only 12 tackles for loss and nine sacks. Coming off the edge, Harris has an effective spin move that finds him in the backfield, quickly. At the Combine, he didn’t light up the charts but he did enough to solidify his draft stock. Here’s what he did at the Combine:

Height: 6’3
Weight: 253 lbs.
40-yard dash: 4.82 seconds
Bench press: 21 reps
Vertical jump: 32 inches
Broad jump: 109 inches
3-cone drill: 7.47 seconds
20-yard shuttle: 4.42 seconds

At times, Harris looks stiff at the hips but that’s more so with stronger lineman. For the most part he displays fluid hips and an effective bend at the knees. Has the rare ability to power his way off the edge or just use his pure speed. He has a proper bend down the line in run support but he needs to get faster when reacting to where the ball is. Harris will come to the Titans and give them a proper balance between the run and rushing the quarterback. He can play standing up or with his hand in the dirt, either way, the Titans will find a way to use him.
. Defensive End. Missouri
