48. With the addition of DeSean Jackson to the already formidable duo of Jameis Winston and Mike Evans as well as the emergence of Cameron Brate and Adam Humphries, the lone question mark on offense is the running back position. Yes, they have Jacquizz Rodgers returning and Doug Martin still under contract but Martin does not appear to be in the Bucs’ plans moving forward if at all possible.

Dalvin Cook is a no brainer pick at nineteen. His game breaking ability out of the backfield as well as in the passing game makes him the complete threat the Bucs simply don’t have at running back. Charles Sims was a massive disappointment running the ball in Martin’s absence last season before he was injured and he’s viewed more as a pass catcher than a between the tackles runner.

Cook is the total package.

The relationship with Winston is an added bonus here but certainly not the sole reason for the pick. With Cook, the Bucs can now move on from Martin without any kind of dead money and have the final piece of the offensive puzzle in place for the kind of offense Dirk Koetter wants to run as they try to improve on their record setting 2015.

With Dalvin Cook available at nineteen, they might even hand the card to DeSean Jackson just to get the pick in faster.
. RB. Florida State. Dalvin Cook. 19. player
