Marlon Humphrey. 16. player. 26. With the 16th overall pick the Baltimore Ravens select Marlon Humphrey. With the best receivers off the board, and Haason Reddick gone as well, the Ravens will take the best player available. Humphrey is a classic Ravens pick. He is a physical cornerback who can do it all. He’s the toughest corner in this draft class and he’s a good tackler. He’s from Alabama so you know two things. First he is well coached and NFL ready; secondly Ozzie Newsome likes it. Humphrey reminds me of Chris McAlister, who was one of the Ravens’ greatest players of all time.
The Ravens still have a need at the cornerback position. Jimmy Smith is often injured. Brandon Carr is good, but an aging veteran. Humphrey could be a superstar cornerback. With the addition of Humphrey the Ravens secondary could be scary good.

Humphrey is fun to watch. He’s an incredible athlete. He’s an instinctive defensive back. The Ravens secondary has been a real problem for a number of years. Baltimore signed Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson in back to back offseasons. I think it’s safe to say the team is committed to having a great secondary.
. CB. Alabama
