The Cleveland Browns take a chance at pick No. 12 and bring yet another quarterback to town in an attempt to find a franchise guy. And in this instance, they bring a player home.
Some may consider the Mentor, Ohio native to be a reach at No. 12, but the Browns desperately need a quarterback and with players like Malik Hooker, O.J. Howard and Leonard Fournette off the board, it becomes easier to make this selection.

Trubisky can come in and not have to start right away, given Cody Kessler can do well enough to start and let the rookie learn the NFL game. Taking a quarterback at No. 12 may lead some fans to believe the Browns must start him right away, but there is no need to rush him onto the field if the team is still in a rebuilding phase. And if Kessler does well, it only means Trubisky has more time to learn.

Impatience from an organization can doom a young player’s career, especially when it comes to quarterbacks. And in this current situation, the Browns have the chance to let a young quarterback learn from the sidelines when the team is still trying to build a proper foundation.

If Hue Jackson believes Trubisky has the ability to lead this team, then this is a no-brainer.
. QB. North Carolina. Mitchell Trubisky. 12. player. 53
