. Jacksonville Jaguars. 4. player. 52. .

Solomon Thomas, DE from Stanford or Jonathan Allen, DT from Alabama:

Within the first three picks of the 2017 NFL Draft, we could see three defensive lineman taken in a row. Maybe Jonathan Allen is on the board rather than Solomon Thomas or vice versa. I don’t think that will happen and with that being said, I think it would be tough for the Jacksonville Jaguars to pass on either player.

Malik Jackson signed with Jaguars two years ago and they’re still waiting on the development of Dante Fowler. Finding additional help in the middle and off the edge could pay off in the long run, especially with the talent that Thomas and Allen provide.

O.J. Howard, TE from Alabama:

Truly, this is my dark horse. I’ve been projecting this for weeks and you can call me delusional, that’s fine, I’ve been called worse. O.J. Howard has All-Pro upside to his game. He’s an efficient run blocker who has the rare athletic ability to run routes vertically.

While trading away Julius Thomas doesn’t hurt this team too much on paper, it still is a weapon that Blake Bortles doesn’t have anymore. To be honest, he needs as much help as he can get and a player like O.J. Howard could be the difference maker in his potential as an NFL starting quarterback.

While you could consider this selection a “reach” or “too risky”, it certainly has it’s value and could shakeup the top-10 of the draft.
